Original 19th‑century anatomical print plate LXXXII professionally described and photographed. Printed on period paper with clear anatomical labelling and strong detail — a representative teaching plate from the golden age of medical illustration.

A classic example of 19th‑century dermatological and vascular pathology, illustrating cyanosis, gangrene, and chronic skin thickening. The blue‑green hues and mottled textures demonstrate circulatory failure and tissue necrosis, typical of Victorian medical atlases documenting vascular obstruction and frostbite‑related damage.

From John Lizars’ famous anatomical atlas: A System of Anatomical Plates of the Human Body (Edinburgh, 1823–1827). Engraved on copper by William Home Lizars and hand‑coloured. Cited in Cushing L313; Heirs of Hippocrates 1436; Waller 5950; Wellcome III: 531.
