A well proportioned antique bronze sculpture after Auguste Moreau (French, 1834-1917) depicting a young boy in the round, barefoot and dressed only in breeches (flute absent). The bronze base is signed by artist. Sympathetically and professionally cleaned and re waxed by us, this piece evokes the spirit of nature and a bygone time of innocence. Moreau (son of the famous French sculptor Jean Baptiste Moreau) focused on sculpture, painting and drafting and is recognised for his figural work. He stands 66.5 cm in height.
