Oak stationery cabinet / writing box in pristine condition presented to "Miss Dobbie from the Earl & Countess of Buckinghamshire in remembrance of her 9 years willing and unselfish work in Great Hampden 15th May 1898" as inscribed to cartouche on lid.
Manufactured by Army & NavY C.S.L this fine example retains most of it's original accessories: Matching Blotter, Full year calendar for year 1898, Bramah Lock & Key (working),sliding pen tray with original glass ink pots ( 1 a/f) , sliding drawers and glass slate. (we have removed the ivory writing instruments as required by law) A beautiful clean example with English aristocracy provenance.
