1930's Mannequin Head

A good quality Art Deco Gentleman's Hat Mannequin for Christys' Hats by Hancor Mitchem. 1930's made in England.

This mannequin is made of Beritex, a type of pressed resin that is harder than traditional plaster and more like an early bakelite plastic.

At its height Christys' Stockport factory employed 3,000 local people and by 1843 was the largest hat and cap making factory in the world.
