Children's  Winter Cap of the Khalkhas is a traditional Mongolian headpiece worn by young girls, particularly among the Khalkha ethnic group, the largest in Mongolia. It is part of the broader tradition of Mongolian national costumes, which are known for their intricate designs, practical functionality, and deep cultural symbolism.

The tortsog is depicted as a winter cap designed to provide warmth in Mongolia’s harsh climate. Typically, it is made from luxurious materials such as silk, velvet, or brocade, and is lined with fur for insulation. The tortsog is often adorned with decorative elements, including embroidery, beads, and sometimes metal ornaments, reflecting the wearer’s social status and regional identity.
