An interesting throwback from Victorian society's craze for keeping miniature dog breeds aka lapdogs when "less really was more" and the smaller the better !
This little taxidermy puppy is a typical example that took the craze to a new level and favourite pets were preserved behind glass and given pride of place in family parlours of the growing middle classes. This little chap of indeterminate pedigree has been beautifully preserved in a colour co-ordinated bow fronted case with original hanging wire reverse for optional wall mounting. Please note there is one small hairline crack to the glass.(lower centre right).
