This original 1866 chromolithograph, Plate XLI from Illustrations of Dissections, presents a detailed life-size dissection of the male pelvis and upper thigh, drawn by George Henry Ford from anatomical work by Professor G. Viner Ellis. Published in London and printed in colour by W. West, the plate reveals the bladder, prostate, seminal vesicles, rectum, major pelvic vessels, lumbar–sacral nerves, and the layered musculature of the pelvic floor and proximal thigh. Rich in detail and beautifully shaded, this Victorian medical illustration is a rare and historically significant piece, highly sought after by collectors, scholars, and enthusiasts of 19th-century anatomical art.
