Original 19th Century Plate 42 – Quain’s Anatomy Medical Illustration

19th Century Antique Medical Print (Circa 1844)

Printed in London for Taylor & Walton, Booksellers and Publishers to the University of London, circa 1844, this antique lithograph was originally produced as a teaching aid for medical students. It forms part of a wider anatomical series used in Victorian medical education.

An elegant 19th‑century anatomical engraving depicting the major vessels of the human torso, with the superior and inferior vena cava shown in striking blue against the arterial network in red. This plate illustrates the venous return to the heart with exceptional clarity, highlighting the classical medical colour‑coding of the period.

A refined piece of scientific art — ideal for collectors of vintage anatomy, medical history, or interior designers.

Good Clean Strong Image with bright colours.  Minor foxing and staining around borders as expected.

A highly collectible historical medical print, suitable for display, study, and interior decoration.
