Rare Scottish Heritage Clan Art Print - MacPherson - "Touch Not The Cat Bot A Glove"

This striking lithographic plate captures the proud heritage and vivid pageantry of Scotland’s historic Clan MacPherson. The artwork showcases detailed tartans, traditional dress, and symbolic clan elements in rich, layered colour made possible by the hand‑finished lithographic technique.

This print was taken from the original 1845–47 publication The Clans of the Scottish Highlands, produced by Ackermann & Co. of London with artwork by R.R. McIan. It is an authentic 19th‑century book plate, not a modern reproduction.

 

A beautiful collector’s piece or thoughtful gift for lovers of Scottish culture, ancestry, and history.
