The Clans of the Scottish Highlands was originally published in two volumes between 1845 and 1847 by Ackermann & Co., London. These volumes featured artwork by R. R. McIan, with text by James Logan, and lithography by W Kinnebrook.
This striking lithographic print captures the proud heritage and vivid pageantry of Scotland’s historic Clan MacGillivray. The artwork showcases detailed tartans, traditional dress, and symbolic clan elements in rich, layered colour made possible by the hand finished lithographic printing technique. Small stain on lower margin. This vivid portrait of a MacGillivray clansman in full Highland dress captures the fierce spirit and tradition of the Scottish Highlands.
