ASPREY, 166 BOND STREET, LONDON An Edwardian Morocco Leather Document Box.
The outer colour has naturally faded back giving a timeworn finish with the strap handle showing wear commensurate with age and use. The top has been gold stamped with an applied Coronet and initial D which raises the question of an aristocratic provenance ?
The interior retains its original maroon colour throughout in Morocco leather with an additional fitted wallet within the lid. The box is secured by brass lock and original key with interior stamped ASPREY Manufacturer, 166 Bond Street in gold letters to the bottom of the lid.
