A beautifully presented Black Grouse ( Lyrurus Tetrix) on bark effect and wood base.
What appears at first glance as black plumage has a dark blue metallic sheen when turned in the light with the long outer retrices (tail feathers) curling outwards and arranged in a way it resembles the frame of a Greek lyre, hence the genus name, Lyrurus
