Memento Mori - Cemetery Plaque

A very rare surviving Victorian cast iron plaque circa mid to late 19th C - advising carriage drivers (mourning carriages and horse drawn Hearsts) to observe the speed limit within the cemetery. In as found condition untouched by us - could possibly read the finer small details at foot with a gentle clean but we like it exactly how it is. (In our opinion) Great patination with natural light surface corrosion enhances the appeal of this piece of bygone social history.
