Scottish School triple portrait, oil on canvas, late 19th Century (circa 1889- 1891).  The subjects are 3 brothers from the well known Glasgow family of the Samuel Dow Wine Merchant dynasty (see below). This evocative painting shows the brothers attired in typical Victorian Highland Dress of the time complete with bonnets, kilts, sporrans and socks with sgian-dubh. Highly decorative and evocative piece of original art.

Dimensions: 127cm ( 4ft 2 inches) x 115 cm ( 3ft 91/2 inches)

Condition: unframed, unsigned, as found condition, small tear to kilt area, abrasion bttm right, surface dirt, small mark to face of right hand boy.
